Analysis of the formal characteristics of the historical architecture and of the town landscape
The center of San Piero is characterized by streets, which have an original medieval subdivision. The buildings are mainly intended for residences and show the characters of the period in which they were built. Most buildings have few windows; only buildings of recent construction are characterized by many windows. The squares and the urban structure follow the course of the land.

Post production Activities
The research project consists in taking over the center of San Piero. The aim is to analyze the existing buildings to understand the formal characteristics and landscape of the city. A direct survey was carried out with the return of the trilaterations of the roads and the connection points of the road network. In addition, photoplanes of the buildings were elaborated, then used for the analysis of the degradations of the facades.
